{TWD} Brownie Buttons

Thanks go to Jayma from Two Scientists Experimenting in the Kitchen for today's Tuesday with Dorie recipe selection. I made these at my grandparents house in Michigan for my family reunion. They didn't have a mini muffin pan so I doubled the recipe. I should have cubed it as it only made 18 brownies. I cut them in quarters though to serve at the reunion. The orange taste was quite prevalent as I used a lot of orange zest in them. Have you ever had one of those chocolate oranges at Christmas time? That is what these reminded me of. Yum!!! :) I am not usually a big fan of white chocolate but it was a perfect complement to these cute brownies. This is on the make again list for sure!

I'm not a fan of white chocolate either but the flavor combo with the orange zest was really tasty!
I think that plate is the exact same ones my mom had when we were kids! Nostalgia.

I've missed your blog the last couple of weeks. Busy end of summer and I've been having a hard time getting to all the blogs I want to. Anyway, love your banana cake and the story to go along with it. Glad you loved the brownie buttons. I thought they were just okay.
Can't believe you're even thinking of Halloween already. I guess it makes you feel like summer is leaving and fall weather is coming. ;)
