Music and Worship

When I started college at APU..um..way back when, one of my very favorite things was the impromptu worship times that would spring up around the campus. A guy would bring out his guitar on the steps of Smith Hall and a group of people would gather and sing worship songs. It just started off with a few people but grew to the point where there were worship nights started. Those sweet moments of being with a few people worshiping together are fond memories for me.
I love the music part of worship at church and there are so many ways to do it. You can go from one extreme to the other. Acappella only, pipe organ and hymns, a worship team backed up by a giant choir, a rock and roll band. All of these are valid, all are praising God in the way they feel is best.
One day we will be praising in heaven together. It won't matter what style we had here on earth we will be praising together.
Take time for some impromptu worship in your day today.
