Mixed Emotions and a Warning

Today was Little Mans IEP meeting. The good news is that he does not qualify for services. In fact in all but one area he is way above average. The bad news is he does not qualify for services because he is above average in all of the areas. I am excited to know that he is where he should be for an almost 3 year old boy. I guess the mixed emotion comes in knowing he has Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum and not knowing what to expect in the coming years. I want him to have every opportunity possible now so he doesn't have necessarily have services later.
So, our meeting today was a relief in that he won't be in preschool full time this coming year. I think I may look into a Mothers Day out program for him though so he is around other kids and we can keep up with how he is doing with all of his different skills.

Both kids did fantastic at the meeting so as a treat we went and got Ice Cream at Marble Slab Ice Creamery. We were at Opry Mills and walked around for awhile when we saw Mastercuts. I have been intending to get both of the kids haircut so we got that done. Munchkin did great. She loves getting her hair cut and always has. She sits very still and does everything she is told to. Little Man on the other hand kind of freaks out. I gave him a Now and Later to chew on and Bobby held his hand the entire time. Once it was done and we were out of the store he said "I yike my hai cut too!" Silly Boy. Since we were still at the mall at dinner time we went to Macaroni Grill and got a really small dinner.

Now for the warning...on our way home we took a little turn and didn't actually know where we were. Apparently I made a California Stop and got pulled over. Neither Bobby not I knew what I had done wrong but we gave the cop my license, registration and proof of insurance and waited. He was back in his car for a long time when he finally came back and told me that I had rolled through the stop sign and to be more careful. Whew! I was really really glad not to get a ticket. We came home and watched the first Shrek. We have to watch number 2 sometime this week before Shrek the Third comes out next weekend!
