Girl Cheese

Every once in awhile our family indulges in the great American favorite...The grilled cheese sandwich. Apparently Munchkin thinks it is "girl cheese sandwiches" because she thinks Little man has to have "boy cheese sandwiches"! Silly girl!

Yeah for almost pp in the potty!! Each night Little Man wants to sit on the potty and go poo. Well I turned my back the other night and turned around to a puddle on the floor. Last night he tried again and didn't make quite as big a puddle and even stopped when he realized that he was making a puddle. Maybe fewer diapers are in our future!

Merry Christmas!!

We have had a whirlwind evening tonight! Today was so relaxed when it came time for church we were completely rushed! Our church didn't have services this morning so that people could hang out at home with their families. They did have 3 services tonight though. If there had been childcare we would have gone to the 7 O'Clock but there wasn't so we went to the 5 O'Clock. This was good for us except that we usually eat dinner right around 5ish. So, we either had to eat at 4 or at 7. We thought we would grab something on the way home but DUH! nothing is open on Christmas Eve. We did try the Taco Bell drive through but they were out of Chicken and Beef. Then we tried Mcdonalds by us who had a sign saying they were open until 9pm. They only had 5 people working (which should have been enough..I worked at Burger King and opened by myself) which was not enough people to run the drive through and cook. SO, long story short we came home and I made a skillet meal and some Sister Schubert rolls.

After the kids opened a pair of new jammies each we read a chapter from Charlottes Web, brushed teeth and finally got them into bed. Now Bobby is down the street giving a neighbor a guitar lesson. I just finished baking an Angel Food Cake for our Happy Birthday Jesus cake and I am in the process of baking my moms famous Cornmeal Crescent Rolls. I can't wait to eat them!

Soon I will be stuffing stockings and putting tags on Santa gifts (I am glad Munchkin can't read yet!). Munchkin is really excited about Santa coming! When asked what she wanted Santa to bring by different people she would say "Whatever he wants to bring me, but I hope he doesn't think I want a Bratz doll!" After her friend told her that she had written a letter to Santa she decided she wanted too also. So on her list is a Doodle Monster. Well, thank goodness Santa got her a little one. I know she will be thrilled!

Tomorrow is going to be so much fun. I know the kids are excited about the presents but I hope we are instilling what the real reason for Christmas is in them. Before presents in the morning we will read the Christmas Story out of Luke and talk about Jesus more. Today on the way to the church Munchkin piped up with "The presents are not what is important about Christmas it is about being together and giving to other people!" Could a mama be prouder? I think not!

One other fun thing she said today after jumping around on my bed was "It feels like Jesus is walking around in my heart right now!" She had fallen onto the bed and could feel her heart beating faster. It was so cute!

I pray this Christmas finds you well and happy!

This morning while we were getting ready in the bathroom Munchkin was walking around the edge of the bathtub. We have a big garden tub with a rock wall around it so it was pretty safe. When she would get to the outside area where it was much narrower she would call her brother over and say please hold my hand. He would walk with her along that edge until they got to the wide area again. That just melted my heart. I pray they are best friends and love each other like that for all time!

9th Anniversary

It is official! Bobby and I have been married 9 years. It is so fun to know someone so well and know that we are going to learn so much more about each other over the next many years together. We were married when I was 23 and he was 22 (only a month away from 23). We started dating when I was 20 and had already been friends for a year in college. It is so cool that we have history at this point. I just love him so much and am so happy that we have 2 beautiful children together, a house, a (gulp) dog and a cat. Plus we both love the Lord and want our house to be built on His foundation.
For our anniversary we went to a new restaurant (new to us anyway) called Nick and Rudys. It is downtown Nashville and has valet parking. I am so used to valet that I forgot to put the parking brake on and almost hit the car behind us. That would have been horrible since we would have had to spend our anniversary money on fixing the much nicer car behind us. Since we would be home late our friends Ron and Angela took care of our kiddos for us overnight. Nick and Rudys was fantastic! I had the filet which was called the Beef Tenderloin and Bobby had Salmon. You know it is a good steak when you barely have to chew it. After we shared dessert we headed off to Opry Mills for some glow golf. Both of us were in black and discovered that we were both incredibly linty! eww! To top off our evening we went and saw Casino Royale. It was definitely worth staying up late for! There were lots of cool stunts without as many cool gadgets.

I love my husband so much and I am so glad we got to spend that evening focused on us and having a really fun date. Hopefully we will get to have more of those this next year...of course next year is our big 10 year reunion. We shall see what that anniversary has in store for us.

How cute are we?

Bobby would like for me to point out the sign saysThe Rat Pack Alive an Well

Some funny phrases from our Munchkin

"Mommy, my leg wrist hurts!"
"Excercise is good for you because it makes you grow big and strong just like fruits and vegetables!"
When asked what a certain noise was "That was pass and gass!"
While standing outside her brothers room yelling down the stairs "I can't sleep while he is screaming!"

It is the time of year when I love to bake! Tonight I have a cookie swap with my MOPS group. I am making a really yummy recipe with blueberries, cranberries, white and chocolate chips in it. They smell really good. Unfortunately the recipe said it made 9 dozen cookies...I think those must be about the size of a penny because it only made 5 dozen. I need 6 dozen for my swap so I had to make another 1/2 batch to finish it off. It feels good to make something from scratch and have it turn into something so delectable!

This coming week I think will be one of the busiest this year. Thankfully this weekend has been fairly low key. Naps are being taken, Munchkin is out flying with her daddy and I am about to embark on a cookie baking frenzy. We have something every night next week. It is not even all Christmas stuff it is just the way the week falls.
Monday I have my MOPS cookie swap (hence the cookie baking frenzy), Tuesday I have a Pampered Chef open house, Wednesday is our 9th anniversary and our kiddos are spending the night at a friends (Thanks Angela!), Thursday is my once a month Pokeeno game (much fun and laughter will be had, and I think Friday I will be home. Bobby has been gracious enough to work around me this week in the craziness.

I know all of the different nights will be fun for different reasons but I am looking forward to Wednesday the most. Bobby and I get to take a moment out for us and celebrate 9 years of marriage. I think we are going to check out Nick and Rudys downtown and then who knows. We are such bar hoppers (kidding!) maybe we will do that...maybe I will check to see if any local bands are playing that we know though.

Hopefully we will get out on Saturday or sometime this week to get our tree. We have only had one a few years that we have been married because we have traveled so much. This year it didn't work out for us to go anywhere so it will be nice to have one. Now, my hubby grew up in Oregon where they went and cut one down every year. I remember cutting trees down too so it would be nice to have that tradition with our kiddos. Sometime in the future though. The last couple of times we have picked ours up at Lowes. That may happen again this year. I can't wait to get all decorated.

We went to a little Christmas party this morning and Munchkin sang Jingle Bells for about 150 people. She was so dang cute!

Peer Pressure

at age 4? After swimming today we went and hung out at Mcdonalds with some friends. The little girl is about 9 months older than Munchkin and the boy is 6 months older. I am not sure if we are almost to the point of boys have cooties or what but Munchkin was not nice to the little boy. The reason she was not nice is because her girl friend was mad at him for scaring her. The two of them kind of ganged up and wouldn't hang out with him. This is not the first time this has happened. She has done this with other girls too and we have talked about it. On our way home we had a long discussion about loving other people. We talked about how she would feel if her two friends ganged up on her and told her that they weren't going to be friends with her anymore. She looked sad and said that it wouldn't feel very nice. Also, we talked about how God must feel when we are not loving toward other people and how sad He is when we act like that. Now she is in her room drawing a picture that we can mail to the little boy as an apology. Hopefully the next time in a situation like that she will think about how God would feel and how she would feel if she acted like that. It kind of scares me for the future. She is 4 now how on earth is she going to be when she is 14? Can I go hide in a hole?

Irrational Fear

So, I have this irrational fear of cranes. No, not the bird, the giant metal monstrosities on construction sites. It is not totally unfounded. When I lived in California there was a woman that was driving in San Francisco with her baby in the car, in a freak accident a crane fell from the top of the building smashing her car and killing both of them. I don't know if it happened around the time I was starting to drive or what but it has bothered me since then.

We have been going to Easter Seals here in Tennessee for a little over a year. They just got bought out by Vanderbilt and it looks like we will be having Little Mans sessions at Vanderbilt Hospital now. This in and of itself is not terrible. It might be a little more difficult in terms of traffic but we will have the same therapist who is fantastic. The problem is that there is a lot of construction in the area and there are several cranes that we have to drive right by. It just freaks me out...all of the giant loads they are moving look like they could fall at any second. Of course, my children think it is the coolest thing ever. Hopefully we can drive down there and I won't pass my neurosis on to my kids.

The wind blew part of our fence down last night and part of our neighbors trim off. Needless to say we didn't sleep all that well.

Little Man was a good helper while Bobby nailed the fence back together. Our neighbors trim looks like it got peeled back over the top of the house.

Our next door neighbors little Christmas tree blew over.So far it looks like just our fence fell over. Hopefully there wasn't too much other damage from the winds. It was 70 degrees here yesterday and it snowed this morning.

Are we in the same family?

After Little Mans therapy we usually go to lunch with Bobby. For some reason Munchkin wanted to go to Jack in the Box today so we complied. After we were done consuming our caloriefest I took Munchkin to the restroom. On our way out the door I am not sure what I was distracted by but I did not hit the handle to the door I hit the window next to the door. I am sure you have seen people do that and have laughed hysterically...just like Bobby was when we actually got out the door. I laughed even harder when he told me he had just done the exact same thing...

Being Sick...

is not my happy place! So, a couple of weeks ago I had a pretty nasty cough. It went away on its own and I thought I was fine. Two Saturdays ago we sat at the Drs office for 2 hours because Little Man had pink eye. As of yesterday he has a sinus infection and is now on an antibiotic. Munchkin now has pink eye and has drops (which she is taking really well) and I have the worst "cold" I have ever had. We are hoping and praying that Bobby doesn't get anything before our trip to Texas for Thanksgiving. I am not sure I can drive the entire way if he is sick.
Poor Munchkin tonight was complaining that her tummy hurt really bad. I can usually feel the gas moving around in her tummy if that is what it is. It just must have been really bad tonight because she was really upset. Bobby took her to Walgreens to pick up some Mylicon drops. As soon as he gave them to her she was fine. Poor baby! I don't know what she ate that gave her such bad gas. As soon as she got home she went straight to bed and we haven't heard another peep.
Hopefully we will all be better in the next couple of days. I have a hard enough time getting things done around the house when I am well. I am just useless when I am sick!

Whew! What a day!

This morning started off so nice and slow! Bobby got up and went downstairs with Munchkin and let me sleep. I finally got up around 9:30 to find Little Man still asleep in his room. After another hour he finally woke up. It is very unusual for my kids to sleep in but we stayed up watching The Wizard of Oz last night pretty late.
Normally we go get donuts on Saturday morning but since 2 of us slept through it we ate some lunch and thought we would go to the Santa parade at the mall.
We had a little bit of time before the parade so we hit up the Pampered Palace where Munchkin had her third birthday party. We always have to go there when we go to the mall because both the kids like to dance on the little stage and Munchkin always has to get some Razzle Dazzle Dust!

After the little parade we went and let the kids see Santa. It costs pretty much an arm and a leg to get 2 5x7s and the pictures are really not that good. Bobby and I are both in this one because Little Man was not going to sit on some random guys lap. Bobby is pretty much sitting on Santas lap and Santa looks like an elf. Hopefully we will get to see our friends Tracy and Davids Santa. He is a really good one! We thought both the kids would like to ride the train but only Munchkin did. Little Man wanted to after sister was done but didn't get to then. Maybe next time.

Once we were done at the mall we were all really hungry. We headed to TGIFridays for an early dinner/late lunch. Then we had to go to Walmart for a few more things. Little Man got his hair cut. He was not thrilled about that. The girl cutting his hair said "at least he is sitting still while crying!" She had apparently been kicked by a kid before. Poor little guy. He fell asleep on our way home and has been asleep ever since.

Poor Kelsey had been outside all day so Bobby took her and Munchkin for a walk. It was pretty cold outside so they bundled up and walked fast. Now we are just hanging out waiting for SNL to come on. Bobby has to be at church early tomorrow morning though so we will probably head to bed soon.

Anyone else think the story of the Three Little Pigs was made up by the brick industry?

Tonight I had the distinct privilege of hearing Justin Timberlakes newest single Sexyback. Apparently I have been living in a cave because this was the first time I have heard it. I know you are jealous because not only did I hear it on The River I heard it 2 minutes later on Venus (just an aside..Apparently Venus is turning into TheParty). At least I got to hear it again so I could hear how truly horrible it was. As I was composing my blog post in my head about how I didn't even know it was Justin because of the awful effects on his voice the song ended and the DJs came on and were so excited about the song. They were talking about how much fun it was and what a great song it was. I suppose if you are at a club and have had several drinks and maybe think it is Britney it would be good. I am not much of a critic on music. I pretty much like whatever is on the radio but this song deserves to be trashed. If you hear it just turn it off or write your congressman to get it banned for all stations!

Gotta love Wierd Al!

Could my husband fit in this video? Maybe a few of the characteristics but certainly not all. He is a rock star! Bobby can't be nerdy!

Graduation Day

I know what you are thinking! Munchkin is only 4 and Little Man is only 2 what on earth could the Reinsch family be graduating?
Today Little Man graduated from his ankle high orthotics to foam inserts in his shoes!!! He has progressed so much in his walking that he no longer needs the ankle support just the arch support. It looks like I am going to have to go buy new shoes that are smaller than his old ones. He had to have a few sizes too big to fit the orthotics. So, next time you see us Little Man will probably look a little bit taller and a whole lot happier!

Joe and Rox and Morro Bay

The Giant Chessboard of Morro Bay...

Once again, the Giant Chessboard.
Check out that big rock behind us! It's amazing that it didn't hit the factory you don't see in the picture when it fell from outerspace! (saith my husband)
This is what happens when you are 6 feet tall and think you are 6 years old......

Mo' pictures from Pismo

Some nice walkers took this picture for us.That is our hotel....riiiiight.....there!
This is what the underneath of the Pismo pier looks like!

The morning after..

Matt and Marcis wedding Bobby and I got up pretty early. Even though we had been in CA for a few days we were still on Tennessee time. It had been such a long time since we had been to a real beach we decided to take a walk. The weather was pretty cold but it was so much fun! We took ours shoes off and walked barefoot near the waters edge, collected completely intact sand dollars, took pictures under the pier, saw a dead seal on the beach (eww), and drew in the sand. As we were getting back in the car I pulled my shoes down from the top of the car. I am not sure what I was thinking putting them up there but I managed to get quite a bit of sand in my hair. We stopped on PCH at Old West Cinnamon Rolls. It was a pretty neat place with a line out the door. Bobby got a roll with orange glaze on it that was really good. I got a crumb topped roll and wasn't as impressed. We were planning on eating brunch in a couple of hours so I wasn't heartbroken that I didn't want to eat the cinnamon roll.

After finding our way back to the hotel we got all of our stuff together and checked out. We met Matt and Marci over at the Pelican Point restaurant for brunch. We realized it was going to be expensive when we checked out the buffet and it had crab legs and included champagne. It was so fun to hang out with Matt and Marci for that little bit. They were headed back home after breakfast and we were headed out to see Bobbys brother and sister-in-law on our way back to my mom and dads house.

Joe and Rox met us at the hotel. We had intended to go to Hearst castle but when we found out it was $20 a person we thought maybe we should hang out in San Luis Obispo instead. We found downtown and walked around awhile. Joe and Rox got some lunch at Mothers Tavern while we watched the Titans actually win their first game of the season! I thought it was pretty funny that the table we were at was only made for me. Everyone else was 6 feet tall and towered over the short little table. Plus, it was uneven so my glass of diet coke kept sliding toward the edge of the table. After wandering around a little bit longer we decided to head to Morro Bay to the aquarium. The aquarium cost $2 to get in and I am not sure it was worth that much. Both Joe and I were having digital camera issues but they got worked out. One of our favorite spots was the salt water taffy store. Every customer got to choose one piece free. Bobby declined and Joe tried to get him to go back and get him another piece. We searched everywhere for the advertised Giant Chess Board only to find it is closed on weekends. A nice couple took pictures of us standing on it though.
By this time we were starting to get hungry so we got in our cars and caravaned to Atascadero where we found one of our favorites...Round Table Pizza! Bobby and I managed to pay for the pizza but we found later that Joe or Rox (not sure which one) had slipped money into my wallet while I was indisposed. It came in handy later when we stopped at Starbys for a quick caffeinated pick me up. We had so much fun hanging out with Joe and Roxanna. We wish we lived closer so we could hang out more often.

We had about a 4 hour drive back from Atascadero so we got home about 10pm. Not too late but the kiddos were already in bed. I got Munchkin up to go potty and she just wrapped her sweet little arms around me and told me she had missed me. It just made my heart melt. It was really fun to be able to go to the wedding and hang out with family and friends but we missed our babies tremendously.

While we were gone Grandma and Grandpa took the kids to the Jelly Belly factory, Burger King, a Candy Festival, and a pumpkin patch. I am not sure who was worn out more the kids or the grandparents. I do know that when they said they were going to a candy festival I thought "good luck with that and getting them to actually sleep!" Little Man was thrilled to see us in the morning and clung to us. Munchkin was happy to see us but she also had a really good time just hanging out with grandma and grandpa, her aunts and cousins. Once again we wish we lived closer to all of our family so we all got to see each other more often.

Pink Eye

is from the devil!! Yep, Little Man woke up with his right eye glued closed this morning, we spent 2 hours at the doctor and got a prescription for drops for both eyes. Let me tell ya, he LOVES getting those put in his eyes! Pray our little guys eyes heal quickly.

A few details

I like to think that I take semi decent pictures and I love taking pictures at weddings for my scrapbooks. Someday maybe I will get to take some photography classes and maybe do something professionally. To see some fantastic wedding photos check out Jules Bianchi in CA.

This is Matt with his dad and Bobby (the best man!).

The Chuck Taylors were very Matt!
The aisle.

Beautiful cake.
The aisle from where I was sitting.
This is Matts nephew! Isn't he adorable?

Matt and Marci

All of these are from the reception. From where I was sitting I couldn't get great pictures of the wedding but I thought these were fun!

Before the Wedding Pictures

I guess I will have to wait to upload more pictures of the wedding and of Halloween since blogger is not cooperating tonight. Here is one of Matt and Bobby. This is the one where Bobby is not making a goober face! Ok! We are back!

Vacation Day 3 and 4 A Drive, a Rehearsal & a Wedding

Bobby and I left fairly early to drive to Pismo. We knew it was about a four hour drive but it felt a lot longer. We stopped to get a couple of things and to send some emails before we headed out so that made the day seem longer. Just a little past Morgan Hill we stopped for lunch at our beloved In-N-Out. That is one of our very favorite restaurants and we miss it so! I made sure to take a picture on my phone of Bobby out front and sent it to some other friends from CA that live near us in Tennessee.

Our next stop was at a gas station. When we started to leave I didn't have my seatbelt on yet and Bobby tried to throw me through the windshield. I am not sure what happened but he just stepped on the gas and the brake (he was trying to drive across the parking lot so he could run into Carls Jr to use the bathroom) and I went forward. (Sorry mom and dad! I don't think we told you about that) We were both laughing hysterically and the guy that drove in after that looked at us like we were lunatics.

About 13 miles from Pismo we called Matt to let him know we were almost there. I said "The rehearsal starts at 5 right?" Um, no...the rehearsal was supposed to start at 4 but he said it would probably not start until 4:30. Thank goodness we were only a few miles away. We pulled into the parking lot right about 4:05 and were the first ones in the lobby! When we got out of the car I thought "I don't remember the ocean smelling like a sewer!" Apparently there are a ton of pelicans that live on the bluff and make it smell. We met Matt in the lobby and waited for everyone to assemble to we could get through the rehearsal. I finally got to meet Marci. We had talked on the phone but hadn't met in person before so it was great to put a face with a name.

After the rehearsal we headed out a restaurant right next to the pier. The food was fantastic but some of the groomsmen kept slipping Matt shots of Jaeger. Later we checked into our hotel then I headed back to hang out with all of the girls while Bobby went to hang with the boys. They were tempted to rush the stage at the bar they were at and steal the instruments. Alas, aside from the 3 or 4 late 60's couple that were there dancing there was no one to appreciate the thought.
Bobby and Matt hung out later at his hotel room for awhile while I was at ours. I thought I was watching Jay Leno but I remember the monologue and then the musical guest and credits....I was kind of tired!

The next morning started off with me heading off to Marie calendar's (another favorite restaurant not located in TN) and Bobby heading to breakfast with Matt and his family. A couple of other girls went with me to the Pelican point restaurant where the reception was going to be and we set out all of the placecards and favors while the guys were doing something else.
Bobby and I went to our room to get ready and I must say! My husband needs to wear a tux more has been awhile since I have seen him that fancy. I wanted to slip him my room key to have him meet me later but then I remember he already had one!

The wedding was absolutely beautiful! At about 4:30 the "Marine layer" cleared out, there was blue sky and just a little bit of wind. The groomsmen were handsome and well behaved, the bridesmaids were lovely. Matt looked more happy than I have ever seen him and Marci was a beautiful bride!

Just as they were pronounced husband and wife a pelican flew over and nailed the girl sitting behind me. I got 1 tiny little dot of pelican poo on my shirtsleeve thank goodness it wasn't more. One of the ring bearers also got nailed. Poor guy! Right after the ceremony Tonja and I ran to the reception to help people find their seats. Unfortunately for us we didn't have the seating chart so we were looking around the tables for names. She ran back to find the chart and then things went much smoother.

It was amazing to see the transformation of the reception room from the time we put out the favors to the reception. It overlooked the ocean and had a spectacular view of the sunset over the ocean.

At the end of the day Matt and Marci were married and we were exhausted.

The cutest thing!

This morning after I got back from walking the dog 2 miles everyone was up. I sat down on the floor to change Little Mans diaper and he put his hands on my face. I said "ooh! your fingers are cold! Mommys face is hot!" He said "Hot!!" and started blowing on my face! It was so sweet!

We'll get back to Vacation in a moment...

This is what happens when my children get really quiet. I was in on the computer, Bobby was on the couch...maybe also on the laptop. Our children were right behind him in the dining room.... See the couch? That is where Bobby was. I guess that means they were REALLY quiet! Yes, that would be wood glue on our nice hardwood floors! Thanks for asking!

Little Man is not thrilled to have glue on his fingers! That was a punishment in itself for him.

Vacation Day 2

Our second day in California was spent touring Apple Hill in Camino, CA. We started off at Abels Acres where we had a potty break for the kiddos, visited a couple of vendors, ran down to the pumpkin patch and my sister Kim picked up a Chocolate caramel Apple. The next farm we visited included a fish pond, pony rides, and The Fudge Factory. I can't remember the name of this ranch but (Mom, a little help?) we spent the bulk of our time there. As soon as we got there mom picked up some apple donuts to share and this is where I got my Chocolate caramel Apple. I am convinced mine was better than Kims since the caramel was made right there on the premises. Papa paid for all four of the kids to have pony rides. Bobby walked next to Little Man who was none to happy at first but once he got used to being on the pony did ok. Munchkin LOVED the ride and it was a really long ride. The kids all laughed when we had to stop for a horsey potty break. While we were here we came upon a box of macintosh apples. Bobby said "The people who buy these apples pay twice as much and get a superiority complex from eating them..." He and I got a good laugh out of it!

Kim really wanted to find a letterbox at one of the farms so we went to that one next. I think it was Plubells if I am not mistaken. We couldn't find the box but that did not deter us from looking for another one on our way out of Apple Hill. Once we got to Placerville we thought we would try and find 2 more boxes. The first one a girl came out and asked if we needed a hint since she saw us poking around outside her store. The second one was not there. We concluded the evening by having pizza at Round Table! Yum! Bobby and I miss good pizza! Maybe someday there will be a Round Table in the Tennessee area.

Vacation Day 1 Letterboxing

Much of our time was spent stamping into the logbooks. It was difficult to sit because there were so many sticker things. We managed though. This is Kim and Ally stamping in.

Cousin in a pink hat.

A baby rattlesnake we saw while on our adventure.

Me and Munchkin taking a little break on a rock. There was a pretty steep drop off so she held my hand the whole time we hiked in this area. She was such a trooper and never complained.

Munchkin says check out my dirty face!

Oh yeah! And my dirty bum! :)

What is God doing in your life this week?

Or How have you seen God at work this week? These are a couple of questions our connect group facilitator Craig asks us often at church. There are some weeks that I hesitate to answer that question for fear of what others will think or for fear that I didn't really see God at work. (There is a great discussion going on about fear over at AddisonRd). I think there are a lot of weeks that I don't look for what God is doing. I wonder if I fear giving myself completely over to God because of what I will have to give up or let go of to serve Him. I know I am a Christian I know why I believe what I believe and I want my children to know Him too. But, there are so many things that come up that I ask why me? Why do I have to face another challenge in my life? Why do my children have to face challenges and have to experience pain?

I think the answer to the questions usually tend to be my child prayed out loud willingly and openly, we had a fantastic conversation about people not being allowed to pray in public in other countries, I got to have lunch with my friend that does not go to church and have a conversation that didn't have to be all about church, I got to have lunch with friends that love the Lord and have kids the same age and are going through similar things, I got to see my son learn how to climb into the car by himself.

I know I am blessed beyond measure, I know it! I have a Christian husband that loves me, I have 2 beautiful children that obey at least some of the time :), I get to stay home with my kids, and I have Christian friends that I adore. But, how have I seen God move? I guess I want to see something miraculous. Am I a doubting Thomas for this or am I just in a rut spiritually? I don't know...I think I will go read my Bible and pray on it....

This are some of the google searches that have led to my site:
Pampered Chef Sarah Oakes

amy hawkins extreme home makeover
arbonne shake recipes (by far the most popular)

It is just funny to me the people that come to my blog because of those items up there. I will have to edit this list the next time I get a funny google hit.

Fishy Funeral

About a year and a half ago we went to the carnival. Munchkin and I won 3 fish. The first two, Toady and Mr. Scaley, died within a couple of days. The third fish, Fluffy, went to meet her maker last night. Munchkin feeds the fish most of the time and she knows only to put a pinch in the bowl. Yesterday she asked if she could feed Fluffy and of course we said yes. Apparently she needed us to remind her that she only got a pinch because she dumped half the container of food in the dish. Bobby cleaned the bowl out maybe an hour later and Fluffy was fine. When I got back from my meeting though she was laying on the bottom of the bowl and you could see the food in her stomach. We waited until this morning to have her funeral so Munchkin could see what happens when you feed fish too much food.

We took Fluffy to the bathroom in a cup and Munchkin said "Fluffy, you were a good fish and I am sorry for feeding you too much food!" Then she dumped her in the potty and both the kids waved while saying "Bye Fluffy" as she swirled away. I half expected her to come back up so I am glad it only took one flush!

Munchkin didn't seem too broken up about it until I asked her to tell someone this morning at therapy what happened. Then she looked pretty sad. I have never been a big fan of fish so I wasn't heartbroken but Bobby surprised me. He was the one who cleaned her bowl and I think he will miss her.

In a funny coincidence my friend Joy posted about carnival fish today too!

Bite me!

There is nothing funnier than hearing your 2 year old say "Bite me!" Well, actually there probably is. This is not a phrase that we say in our house but Little Man has started saying it about Kelsey. Kelsey will lick Little Mans hands and he will say "Bite me!" With a big grin on his face. Then he will say "Bite you!" and pretend to bite your leg or whatever is close and make chomping noises. Who knew a 2 year old could be so entertaining?

On a different note...Munchkin has a fever tonight. Not my happy place especially after hanging out with some friends and their 18 day old baby today. I had to call and let them know that she has a fever and told them how sorry we were. She wasn't sick earlier today so who knows..maybe she picked it up in the nursery this morning. I am taking her to the dr in the morning.

A Trip to the Mall

Last night I went to scrapbook with some girls from my MOPS group. One of them mentioned that a new scrapbook store was opening at Opry Mills today so I absolutely had to check it out today! Our TIPS lady is out of town so we kind of hung out and did nothing this morning but called Bobby to see if he would meet us at the mall for dinner. It is much easier to check out a new store without having to wrangle with kids at the same time.

When we got there we had to pass Customer Service. This is where you can sign up for the Opry Mills Kids club, Mugsys Meadow. We have been by there a couple of times before because when you sign up you get to spin the wheel and win a prize. Well, we signed up online and have been told you don't get to spin if you signed up that way. Fair? I think not. Tonight we got a sympathetic older gentleman that let the kids spin. Munchkin landed on the space with the star and got a $10 gift card to the mall. She got to spin again for Little Man since he wanted nothing to do with it and got a voucher for a little gift at Build-A-Bear workshop. He ended up getting a little stencil thing. Munchkin decided that she wanted a build a bear with her $10 gift card plus she had about $20 left over from her lemonade stand earlier this year. So she got a $10 bear with an ice skating outfit. It's name is Abby. She is pretty excited about it and we thought it was cool she got it for $10 off!

The scrapbook store is pretty cool. Since it was the first day they had everything in stock including the new tool The Crop-a-dile. They had the new Bohemia line from My Minds Eye. I love the mathcy matchy papers and saying. It makes really easy cute pages.

After a yummy dinner at Macaroni Grill we walked back around the mall, which is long way with 2 rambunctious kiddos, and headed home. All in all a very enjoyable trip to the mall.

St Louisand our dog

The first two pictures are from The City Museum. This one was taken as we were waiting on a catwalk to go down the giant slide to the exit.
This turtle wanted a little sun!

Kelsey loves her treat ball!
